Parts, supplier catalogues and purchasing for the workshop

The Repairs module adds parts and purchasing to the workshop: a catalogue of supplier parts with prices and lead times, importing supplier catalogues, orders, goods receipt per delivery note, returns, and orders created straight from an accepted quote.

Who it is for

Garages and workshops that buy parts from suppliers, and fleet managers who maintain their own vehicles.

Work orders, planning, quotes and the final check are part of the basics in every plan. Repairs adds parts and purchasing, and stands apart from hire, inspections and the tyre hotel.

What it does

  1. 1. Parts catalogue

    Supplier offerings grouped per product, with the supplier's part number, purchase and list price, lead time and availability; the preferred and the cheapest supplier come first. The catalogue exports as CSV.

  2. 2. Managing offerings

    An offering is created, superseded when the price moves, corrected for a typo, closed or marked preferred. Entering prices needs a separate right.

  3. 3. Quantity prices when buying

    Per offering, price bands by ordered quantity can be recorded.

  4. 4. Importing supplier catalogues

    Upload a CSV file with a column mapping per supplier, or a scheduled feed over HTTPS or SFTP that also runs on demand.

  5. 5. Orders

    Orders with several lines and a CSV line import, a discount, statuses and a link to the supplier's invoice. Ordering and confirming a delivery are separate rights.

  6. 6. Ordering from a quote

    From an accepted quote, the parts orders it needs are created.

  7. 7. Goods receipt per delivery note

    One delivery is booked in one go across several open orders, into a stock location.

  8. 8. Returns

    Returns to the supplier are created and followed up.

  9. 9. Customer messages during a repair

    The customer is told the status of the repair by email.

What it does not do

  • Routing jobs to partner garages, commissions and disputes belong to the Network orchestration module.
  • Valuing damage without repairing it belongs to the Damage valuation module.
  • Supplier catalogues are imported as CSV today; other catalogue formats have no importer yet.
  • Customer messages go by email, not by text message.
